Genital aesthetics is an umbrella term for a range of intimate procedures that address the appearance, comfort, and function of the genital area. These treatments can restore confidence, relieve physical discomfort, and improve quality of life.

Labiaplasty is the most commonly requested procedure. It involves reshaping or reducing the labia minora (the inner lips of the vulva). Many women seek labiaplasty because enlarged or asymmetric labia cause irritation during exercise, discomfort when wearing certain clothing, self-consciousness during intimacy, or simply because the appearance affects their confidence. The procedure carefully trims or reshapes excess tissue while preserving natural sensation and a natural-looking result.

Vaginoplasty (vaginal tightening) restores tone and tightness to the vaginal canal. This is most commonly sought by women who have experienced changes after childbirth or with natural ageing. Before Your Procedure

Your journey begins with a free, confidential consultation, online, by phone, or at one of our UK consultation days. We understand that discussing intimate concerns can feel daunting, which is why your patient coordinator will handle your enquiry with sensitivity and complete privacy from the very first conversation.

You will discuss what is causing you discomfort or concern, what you hope to achieve, and any questions you have. Photographs can be shared securely if you prefer a remote consultation, allowing your surgeon to assess your individual anatomy without a face-to-face examination initially.

Once you decide to proceed, you will receive a personalised treatment plan and pre-procedure instructions. These typically include avoiding blood-thinning medications, stopping smoking, and guidance on hygiene preparation before your travel date.

During Your Stay in Turkey

Your VIP transfer will collect you from the airport and take you to your 5-star hotel. The following day, you will attend the hospital for pre-procedure assessments, blood tests and a confidential face-to-face consultation with your surgeon. This is where final measurements and markings are made, and any remaining questions are answered.

Depending on the procedure, genital aesthetic treatments are performed under either local anaesthesia with sedation or general anaesthesia. Labiaplasty typically takes 1-2 hours. Vaginoplasty takes approximately 1-2 hours. You may go home the same day (day case) or stay one night in the hospital, depending on your procedure and your surgeon's recommendation. Your personal translator will be with you throughout, and a female surgeon can be requested.

After Your Procedure

You will receive detailed aftercare instructions covering hygiene, medication, activity restrictions, and what to expect during healing. Your surgeon will see you for a follow-up check before you travel home, ensuring everything is healing well and you feel comfortable with your recovery plan.

Once you are home, your 12 months of included aftercare means you can contact your team at any time with questions or concerns. You are never left to manage your recovery alone.

Recovery from genital aesthetic procedures is typically straightforward, though the intimate nature of the area means you will need to be patient and follow your aftercare instructions carefully.

Days 1-3: Expect swelling, mild bruising, and some tenderness in the treated area. This is completely normal. Pain is usually mild to moderate and well-managed with prescribed medication. Apply cold compresses as directed to reduce swelling. You will be able to walk gently, but rest as much as possible. Wear loose, breathable underwear and comfortable clothing.

Days 4-7: Swelling begins to reduce noticeably. You can move around more freely but should still avoid strenuous activity. Keep the area clean and dry, following the hygiene routine your surgeon has provided. Dissolvable stitches are typically used, so there is no need for suture removal in most cases.

Weeks 1-2: Most women feel comfortable returning to desk-based work after 5-7 days, though you may wish to take longer depending on your comfort level. Avoid tight clothing, tampons, and any activity that puts direct pressure on the area. Light walking is encouraged to promote circulation and healing.

Weeks 2-4: Significant improvement in comfort and appearance. Most of the swelling has resolved, and the area begins to feel much more settled. You can gradually return to light exercise, but continue to avoid cycling, horse riding, and impact activities.

Months 1-3: You can resume all normal activities, including exercise and intimacy. Most surgeons recommend waiting a full 6 weeks before resuming intimate activity to ensure complete internal healing. Your final result becomes more apparent as residual swelling fully resolves.

Months 3-6: Your final result is visible. The tissue has fully healed, sensation has returned to normal (and often improved), and you can enjoy the full benefits of your procedure.

Common effects (expected and temporary):

• Infection, uncommon, minimised through sterile hospital conditions, antibiotics, and careful hygiene instructions
• Wound separation, occasionally stitches can open slightly in this mobile area, usually healing without intervention
• Scarring, the genital area heals remarkably well, and any scarring is typically not visible or palpable once fully healed
