What Is Breast Implant Replacement (without mastopexy)?
Breast implant replacement is a procedure to remove your current breast implants and insert new ones. It can be performed to address ageing implants, change the size, shape, or type of implant, or correct a complication from your original augmentation.
Your surgeon accesses the implant through a small incision, usually along the existing scar from your previous augmentation. The old implant is removed, and the pocket is assessed. If the pocket is in good condition, your new implant is placed directly. If adjustments are needed (such as a pocket that has stretched), your surgeon may perform a capsulorrhaphy (tightening of the capsule) at the same time.
This package is specifically for implant replacement without a breast lift (mastopexy). If your breasts have sagged since your original augmentation and you also need a lift, a different procedure may be more suitable, your patient coordinator can advise you.
You can use this procedure to switch between implant types (e.g., from saline to silicone), change profiles, or adjust your size up or down.

What Happens During the Procedure?
Before your trip: Video consultation to discuss your current implants, any concerns, and your goals for the replacement. Bring details of your original augmentation if available (implant brand, size, placement).
Day 1, Arrival: VIP airport transfer to your 5-star hotel.
Day 2, Procedure day: Your surgeon examines your current implants and confirms the plan. The procedure takes approximately 1-2 hours under general anaesthesia. Old implants are removed, pockets are assessed and adjusted if necessary, and new implants are placed.

Recovery & Aftercare
Recovery from implant replacement is generally quicker and more comfortable than a first-time augmentation, because your body already has the tissue pocket.
Days 1-3: Mild to moderate soreness and swelling. Pain medication manages discomfort. Wear your surgical bra.
Week 1-2: Swelling subsides quickly. Light daily activities and desk work are usually possible from the end of week 1.
Weeks 2-4: Most patients feel close to normal. Light exercise can be reintroduced gradually.
Months 1-3: New implants settle into position. Any changes in firmness or shape stabilise.
Months 3-6: Final results are visible. Your new implants should feel comfortable and natural.
Risks & Considerations
Risks are similar to any breast implant procedure: infection, bleeding, scarring, capsular contracture, implant malposition, changes in sensation, and asymmetry.
Because the implant pocket already exists, some specific risks include pocket irregularity (if the original pocket has stretched or scarred), and the need for pocket adjustment during surgery. Your surgeon will assess the pocket condition during the procedure and make any necessary corrections.
